In preparation for this year’s influx of Florida vacationers, we began to put together all the rental pieces we’d been missing. Our primary goal was to acquire boats, and acquire boats we have! Added to our fleet this spring are our new deck boat rentals, available to customers looking for hourly, daily, or longer rental periods. If you’ve been feeling the land-locked blues, escape from the endless urban development and head out on the Gulf.

Fishing in Clearwater and St. Petersburg, FL

You may be wondering what you would do with one of our boat rentals. May we suggest filling up the tacklebox and cooler and breaking out the rod and reel? Of course, we mean fishing — one of America’s great and relaxing activities. If fishing from the piers or shoreline loses its allure, and fishing charters become uninteresting, take to the open sea. With over 600 miles of shoreline and dozens of docks and boat ramps to set off from (see the Pinellas County Ramp list for available ramps), starting a fishing adventure is never out of the question. Rent a boat, and schedule your own charter into the deepest waters. For beginner anglers, we recommend grabbing a boat rental and heading to Caladesi Island and Honeymoon Island. Sandwiched between the Gulf of Mexico and St. Joseph Sound, Caladesi and Honeymoon Islands make up a thin strip of utopia, perfect for offshore fishing and sightseeing. Stretching for more than ten miles, the islands provide fishing enthusiasts with plentiful amounts of snook, redfish, grouper, and snapper. The great part about fishing in Florida is that it’s a year-round activity. No matter the temperature, there are always fish to be nabbed. If you’re traveling with family, especially kids, be sure to prepare and pack well; lots of sunscreen, extra clothing, water, and nonperishable foods should absolutely be on your trip checklist. More avid anglers will find a boat rental perfect for group expeditions into the deep-sea areas. Punch in the coordinates to your favorite fishing spot, and let the line loose. Our deck boats can seat up to 11, meaning group fishing trips are much more relaxing. The mysterious depths of the Gulf are calling — will you respond?
